Advantages of Inverter Technologywww.premsupply.com 03Traditional systems use a fixed-speed compressor, which cycles the unit on and o whenever the room dips below desired temperatures. This system relies on an all-or-nothing philosophy—with the compressor running at either zero or 100 percent. This can lead to unpleasant temperature swings as the system strains to maintain a constant temperature.Inverters, on the other hand, are always running in the background, adjusting the compressor speed in real time. By ramping up power to the compressor when needed, an inverter provides a more accurate, on-demand approach to temperature control. If your room temperature is already a comfortable 72 degrees in cool mode, for example, an inverter may slow the compressor’s engine to a crawl. If your room’s cooking at 104 degrees, the inverter will push the compressor into high gear, keeping you out of the hot seat.Inverter Technology with Proprietary Drive allows the compressor to work at variable speeds. This leads to the following benefits: • Allows the capacity to accurately match the energy required to condition the space. • Achieve the set temperature faster while remaining energy ecient. • Maintains temperature fluctuations within a tight upper and lower limit. • Provides vast Energy Savings by managing power & output demand requirements. • Provides end users Superior Comfort by meeting set conditions fast. • Higher Energy Eciency versus standard, fixed speed designs. • Quieter operation for optimal comfort of users by suppressing noise produced by ON/OFF cycling. The Health Impacts of Indoor Relative HumidityThe ideal range for human comfort and also to minimize as many adverse health eects is approximately within:• Temperature: 65°F – 75 ° F• Humidity (%RH) indoor: 40% - 60% RH %RH) indoor: 40% - 60% RH Both very high & very low relative humidity may cause thermal discomfort due to perceived air temperatures.• Extremely Low Relative Humidity (%RH) Impacts• Less than 20% may cause eye irritation.• Promotes the growth of certain types of bacteria & viruses.• Indoor ozone levels are enhanced by low relative humidity.• Low relative humidity can cause viruses, respiratory irritation & eczema exacerbation.• Low relative humidity can cause furniture & room conditions to age at an accelerated rate.• Extremely High Relative Humidity (%RH) Impacts• High %RH fosters the growth of fungi, mold, mildew, & mites.• Humid air promotes contaminates to stay airborne for longer periods of time before settling onto surfaces.• High %RH impedes the body’s ability to regulate body temperature and cool down.• Promotes the growth of certain types of bacteria & viruses.• Formaldehyde, sulfur, nitrogen dioxides, & other chemical respiratory irritants may be more severe in high humidity environments.Reference:https://aristair.com/blog/is-too-much-humidity-hurting-your-health/https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/15bd/61b49487592560edae31515e487eef5a7f.pdfFresh Systemwww.premsupply.com 05

www.premsupply.com 07rem Aire Fresh SystemIndoor Humidity & Temperature SensorWorking in sync with the Variable Speed air intake and the Humidity & Temperature Sensingsystem, PremAire’s dynamic Fresh Air system operates to sustain the users’ set pointtemperature while actively aiming for 40%-60% Relative Humidity in the room whenconditions allow.Variable Speed MotorWith the help of a Variable Speed Motor, the PremAire Fresh Air System can dynamicallyvary air intake from 20CFM up to 60CFM. Based o the Temperature & Humidity measuredfrom its sensing systems, the Fresh Air intake is adjusted to actively aim for 40%-60%Relative Humidity in the room when conditions allow.Serviceable Fresh Air FilterDesigned with service in mind, the PremAire Pro & ePro series units include a general freshair filter accessible from the front cover. This unique design makes maintaining quality freshair simple by making filter service a small addition to the typical maintenance and cleaningprocesses currently used.Motorized Damper DoorThe Motorized Damper Door allows users to enable & disable fresh air intake based onpreference. This is controlled via the main control display and can be activated or deactivatedat any time. The damper door is designed to minimize air leakage in the case that fresh airis o and to maximize the dynamic air flow when fresh air is active.Outdoor Humidity & Temperature SensorIn order to complete the feedback loop, the PremAire Fresh Air System measures theTemperature & Humidity of outdoor conditions to determine whether the unit can introducemore humidity in the room, reduce the amount of humidity, or save energy with free cooling.Optional Carbon / Merv Filter(s) / HEPA Filter(s)For applications that require more sophisticated filtration schemes, the PremAire Pro & eProseries units oer additional filter options. The options include a Carbon filter for odor, aMerv-8 filter for finer particulates, & HEPA filter for the added health benefits. Each optionis sold separately based on user requirements.Outdoor Mesh GrillStandard with PremAire’s Pro & ePro Series units, an outdoor mesh grill is the first stop gapused to block large objects from entering the fresh air system. This filter is designed withthe intention of blocking objects such as insects, rodents, reptiles, leaves, & other largeritems from the outdoors.Fresh Air Intake Pre-HeaterIn the case of fresh air demand during the winter season, the PremAire Fresh Air systemincludes a pre-heater on intake to help alleviate cold drafts from entering the room causingdiscomfort to its occupant(s). Additionally, a secondary heater is introduced to furtherlessen this issue based on temperature demands & conditions.Key Characteristics
